AntpinBot and ploosa-catalog-bot

Two web crawlers answer to this page. AntpinBot is the web crawler of antpin; ploosa-catalog-bot is the crawler of Muon, antpin's product-data service. antpin is run by Symquark, the company behind Ploosa.

AntpinBot

It reads public websites of manufacturers, distributors and resellers to learn what they make, carry or resell. It identifies itself with the User-Agent AntpinBot/1.0 (+https://crawler.antpin.com).

Until 30 September 2026 it identified itself as PloosaBot (PloosaBot/1.0 (+https://crawler.ploosa.com)); robots.txt rules written for PloosaBot are still obeyed.

What AntpinBot reads

Public company pages, such as home, about, contact, team, brands and line cards, and news. It keeps company details, and the names and job titles of up to eight people per company in management, sales, marketing, purchasing, product, operations or IT roles, named on the company's own pages, each with the page it was read on. It never guesses e-mail addresses.

How AntpinBot behaves

It obeys robots.txt (rules for User-agent: AntpinBot, and rules for PloosaBot) and Crawl-delay, spaces its requests to each site, and stops at a block. Listing sites (directories) are read through a proxy service and may not show this User-Agent there.

ploosa-catalog-bot

It reads manufacturers' websites for the product catalogue of Ploosa. It identifies itself with the User-Agent ploosa-catalog-bot/1.0 (+https://crawler.antpin.com).

How ploosa-catalog-bot behaves
